Default What's Up - Finally Porsche'd it

After a year long "thinking about buying an air-cooled" thread, I decided to pull the trigger.

The car is a Polar Silver Carrera 4 Widebody. (1 of 254 964 WB's (non-turbo)) Anyways, I am pretty pumped as this is a long time in the making. The car is modified, but the owner kept all original parts. I am going to modify the car in steps and step 1 is slated to be complete in the spring.

Step 1:
• Remove GT3 Racing seats and install stock seats (I think)
• Remove DAS roll bar
• Install NB rear control arms, half shafts, etc. for the RS deep dish look
• Remove 2 door dings and repaint front bumper cover
• Paint car using Autoflex paint in either non-metallic Purple or Miami Blue
• Install Rotiform CUP wheels in 18 x 9.5 and 18 x 12 (I think)

Anyways, onto the pics:

Colors I am trying to decide between. These are both painted using Autoflex peel-able paint. I decided I want to keep the original Polar Silver of the car because unlike the e46M, the silver/black is actually desirable in this car.

Purple:

Miami Blue:

Here are the wheels I am contemplating since the original RS Speedline wheels are $10k-$20k.

Rotiform CUP Wheels:

The car is an absolute joy to drive and IMO, a great compliment to the e46M and V8 e30. I can't imagine selling any of them at this point.
Anyways, feel free to share your opinions on my phase 1 plans for the car.

I love the Miami blue idea! It looks phenomenal on these cars.

I have always been a fan of the GT3 seats and contemplated putting them in my E46, but they’re just too expensive. Having said that there are many who are not a fan of them.

Anyway, congrats and look forward to up-dates!!

I love the seats. They are so comfortable and light and they look great. The problem is, I am vertically challenged so I have to use a pillow on the seat to get to where I want to be.

Congrats on the buy. Seems like a unique car, and a long time coming. Looks pretty perfect the way it is but I am excited to see where you take the build.
