when a base 911 is now one of the fastest/funnest sports cars out there, I am not sure how thats a bad thing. Please drive one and let me know if you dont think its punching way above its weight.

I say 911 if you like driving.

Just watched a review of the GTC4, it has two trannys and weighs 4500 lbs!! Must be the heaviest Ferrari ever.

I wasn't disparaging towards the Turbo and it was a bit tongue-in-cheek; I even said I love it but your post reinforces my point... the experience and quality of the current base 911 makes the Turbo less exciting IMO despite the fact that the Turbo is silly-fast and highly modifiable. It is objectively a better car in many aspects than the FF no doubt...

... However, the FF is far more unique and exciting IMO. How many 12-cylinder (with 8,000 rpm redline!!) hatchbacks can you name?

Makes sense on the uniqueness but I dont think a lot of people necessarily want a 12-cylinder 4-seater hatchback with a Chrysler entertainment/nav unit and ridiculous maintenance costs. Its not even a very sporty car in the end. I ran into one at the track and it was slow AF and looked dorky (yes i understand this is not what it was made for).

If I wanted a V12, I would get a manual V12 vantage which is both beautiful and reliable. I just dont think the FF does anything very well to command the price.
