Default How to tell if I need a new clutch?

First post!

My E90 Sedan has the original clutch in it. It's got ~50,000 miles on it. How do I know when it should be replaced?

Thanks guys!

Is there anything happening that makes you think you might need a new clutch. Unless you bought an abused track car, the clutch should last way longer than 50k miles.

i have 186,500 miles on my OEM clutch - with the past 4.5 years seeing track abuse

while I have an e46, i doubt your e90 needs a new clutch at 50k unless it was female owned/driven
