Infineon TLE7209-2R is also very similar, but adds SPI and changes the behavior of a couple of input pins. I haven't checked thoroughly if the differences in pinout could be worked around on the board.

Also, I've attached a datasheet for the Bosch CJ220 H-bridge, which is evidently the same as the 30348.

It is suppose to be a replacement for the Freescale

awesome! where would you find this other than ebay?

I checked mouser and didnt see it when i searched for "Bosch 30348"

i want to make sure i get a good verison not a chinese clone.

i am very happy you found a good alternative, i want to this myself. I had plans to send out my DME to a well known person but he is so backed up my friends have been waiting for 6+ months to get MS45.1 EWS Delete DMEs back id love to just do this myself now.

i have 2 spare MSS54HP Dmes to practice on so nows as a good as time as ever especially since it seems the chips that are needed to perform this function seem to go out of stock permanently often or superceded often.

I cant seem to find any chips that say:
Bosch
30348 0417
8409SLS
50EE02

does the only thing that matter is just the 30348 part?

i found this one on ebay, refurbished unit but its not from China. does anyone think it would work?

ok dokie well just taking a chance and went ahead and ordered 2 of the 30348 chips in the mentioned ebay link.

also ordered a few sets of

AVX TPSD156K035R0100
AVX 581-08055C104J4T2A X 2

extras in case i mess anything up or lose something.

about to order the CSL flap itself and the plug connector as well to have on hand for testing and installation.

will cross fingers and hope all goes well.
