If you have a 12mm shock shaft they dont have the shims. And they wont until who knows, they certainly dont know. I had to trade with a guy who went from 12 back to 10 or my alternative was to send it the whole kit back. They had no timeline on reproducing the 12mm shims.

Nightmare dealing with them too. Noone knows anything nor cares to help you. Getting someone on the phone who knows anything about a bmw or car in fact was quite difficult. I think they are just a tech company now....they have parts, lots of parts but noone there knows anything but how to look up part numbers.

If you have stock which i believe is the 10mm shock shaft, you might be ok.

Op you should say whether the car is pretty stock or not. monoball rsms for $200 is laughable if you've got koni/billy/sachs shocks and stock or stock like springs (eibach/dinan).

I wouldn't recommend the reinforcement plates. On the e36, they made noise anytime I went over a bump. I removed them within 2k miles of installation.

Well a few things... firstly I would rather a noise then a strut punching through my strut tower... but that aside its shouldn't be making a noise if installed correctly... the reinforcement plates should be sandwhiched in a bolted joint... if its making a noise then the RSM was cooked or the reinforcement plates were installed wrong... or worse your strut tower was/is on its way out and it was deflecting / clicking like the E46 RACP does as it is starting to part...

None of the above were happening on the car and the suspension was installed by one of the most reputable BMW shops in my area. These were Turner plates FWIW.

My recommendation aligns with the tech that removed them.... unless you are tracking the car there’s no need.

Stick with a new OEM mount and keep the suspension fresh.

Drove the car today. FWIW, my Turner monoball RSMs on PSS10 coilovers are quiet.

You have the actual monoball mounts not reinforcement plates, very different product.
