Default Does your e46 have this clutch line hanger/support?

Hey all,

Random questions but I installed an ECS Stainless Steel clutch line last weekend and noticed it has a thick rubber insulator in the middle (see pic) as does my OEM line and was curious what it was for. I looked up ECS' instructions and low and behold their images show a hanger/support bracket that it clips into, however my car doesn't have one, does yours?

I've been searching all over realoem trying to find this part but haven't been able to locate it. I'm also starting to suspect their images are from an e36 so tried checking their parts diagram too but couldn't find it there either. I know it's likely not a big deal but was wondering if other e46's had this, and if you happen to know the part # I'd be very grateful.

FYI I noticed both the BW and UUC lines do not appear to have the insulator so perhaps it is used for multiple models, some of which do have the hanger (but odd that even the OEM line has it, they must use it across different series' as well).

TIA

I either didnt have one or it broke off a long time ago with po. ECS line is a bit shorter so that thick sleeve for me is right where it rests against the bottom/side of the oil pan.

Interesting, I was also wondering whether mine broke or was taken off with PO. However my ECS doesn’t seem to be shorter, the insulator is just hanging in the air so would be nice to have a support for it.

I don’t remember anything like that on mine. Maybe a non-M thing?
