Default Re: Custom LSB Subbox with Subs & Amp

So this thing weighed 90pnd with subs and amps? Or just the box alone? What are the cubic demensions or what kind of RMS where you last sub setup rated for and how many watts were you running to them? Could you have put more power based on the boxes dimensions and made more sound effectively? How difficult would it be to get this thing ready to repaint to a different color? This is setup for 3 12s or 10s? Looks like 12s.

My current setup: I currently have a wicked CAS box w/10w7. It kicks but not enough to make me completely happy. I also do not like how all the weight is on the passenger side where you is centered and more midline in the car making it more centered. My main concern is to not overload the car. The Wicked CAS setup weighs about 75pnds with everything including amp. 90 seems light for 3 12s and an amp.

I believe last time I put it on the scale it had everything but the amp on it. The box is set up for 3 12's. My last subs were 500w rms. It would be very easy to get it repainted. Scuff it up, prime, paint, clear.

Is the box setup for 500rms or what would you reccomend? Do you know what the cubic footage is on this box? If I am going to have a box that takes up that much room I want to run alot of power (prob 1500w per sub). Is this completely fiberglass or just the face? Looks like the sides and back are board (which to me sounds better and cracks less). Are there currently any cracks? Does it do a good job of picking up all the punchy notes (trance)? That is why I currently went with a 10w7. I see you had a wicked cas setup before. How much louder is this?

I am not sure of the cubic footage. You can run more powerful subs with this. I at one point have jl 12w7's and it hit super hard. Just the face is fiberglass and the rest is mdf. I have not seen any cracks. Yes this was a better setup then the wicked box.
