PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY BEFORE PLANNING TO PURCHASE AN M3.

An individual wanted to purchase my M3, went through the loan process, got approved, and then went to contact his insurance company and they told him that they WILL NOT insure an M3 to anybody for any amount of money, as they are on their list of high performance cars. I called around myself and it looks like this is not uncommon, and a lot of insurance agencies will not insure an M3. Just from my little amount of research, here are a few companies that WILL insure you for one: Geico, State Farm, Progressive, and Liberty Mutual. I'm sure there are more, but I called those companies and found out for a fact that they will insure one. I personally have Geico and am very happy with them.

I was asked to update this thread. Car is still available. A couple people plan on coming to come take a look at it this week, but other than that its up for grabs. New car has been ordered, so deadline to purchase this before it gets traded in is 1st week of December when my new one is supposed to come. Thanks for the interest.

Sorry for the confusion, for a private sale I'm looking for an offer above trade-in value + the tax rebate I'll be receiving towards my new car. Thanks for the PMs.

I got a chance to take the M3 out yesterday, and it was a gorgeous day so I had the top down! I don't get to drive it enough to realize this too often, but the E46 M3 is such a wonderful car that I hope I am as happy with the E92! Snapped a quick picture with my phone when I stopped at a scenic overlook to take in the sights.

Thanks guys. It really doesn't get any better than this as far as M3's go. It would have been gone weeks ago if it wasn't so tough to get a loan these days. I'm surprised that someone who actually has the cash hasn't jumped on this yet. I'm getting my new car one way or the other at this point, just trying to pass on an awesome deal to another enthusiast before it goes to the dealer.

Also willing to sell for even less if a buyer wants to bring their own wheels. I've had many offers to purchase them separately but no stock ones to replace them with.

Lots of people have asked to see detailed photos of the small dings. Like I said in the original post, they are too small to come out on camera. So I pointed to them so anybody interested can at least know where they are. It seems like people were under the impression that this car is in worse shape than it really is by how I have been describing things. I hope these photos help. I would rather overstate the imperfections and then when somebody sees the car in person they are pleasantly surprised at how minimal it is, rather than say it is perfect and then have people be shocked to find them when they look close.

All PMs replied. I cannot say this enough, please have funds BEFORE inquiring about the car. I will not finance you, I will not take payments, I will not take trades.
