Default Custom trim wrap in Brushed Black Aluminum (pic heavy)

*** UPDATE: One Year Later***

After a year of freezing winter and mildly hot summer the wrap has survived just fine. No bubbling or shrinking. Very impressed with the adhesion over time. If you try it don't forget a lot of it comes down to prep. Be sure everything is super clean.
The material has held up to constant rubbing on the door pull area. Also where you normally see trim beat up by the seatbelt hitting it every time, the wrap is still perfectly fine. The "aluminum" texture is still jus as good as new.
*******

So my armrests were showing the typical wear and tear as well as some bubbling. So i decided to undertake an armrest refurbish. I'm not particularly a fan of the factory trims so i did a custom wrap, 1080 Brushed black aluminum.
I also dislike the fact that the upper and lower pieces are two different colors, and my softouch was starting to look bad. So i fused/blended/sanded them into one piece for a smooth transition from top to bottom.
It was definitely overkill but I had the time. Im happy with how it turned out. Looks better in person.
The keen observer will notice that I'm missing my side mirror controls. This happened as a result of my boneheadedness. Didnt notice i blended the wrong side until it was too late. But...im the only one who drives the car, i never use the reverse tilt function, and I kinda like the smoothed out look, so ill deal with it for now.
I also extended it to the rest of the interior trim and brushed my door handles.
Sorry for all the pics, just wanted to give people a good look in case they are interested in the finish. Theres not a lot on google. Click the images for full resolution.

That looks great! It's a very classy look. Any pictures a bit further away showing more of the interior?

Kind of want to find a set of messed up trim now.

Like the others said, it looks amazing. I always love it when people say wrapping looks cheap or tacky, but if you do it right and take your time it turns out like this.

As others have said, that looks down right awesome! Classy yet "stealthy." Very easily, could that go unnoticed as a wrap.

This looks amazing, I have a spare set of trim (same silver as yours) that's bubbling and I've been debating refinishing them myself. Couple questions...

-How much material did you need?
-What did you use to prep the trim?
-Any tips?

I think I may tackle this over the winter, I'm in love with that color.
