Saw the first ep, wasn't that thrilled with it, the main character already has me put off

I also do not read epic medieval type fantasy novels so I never even heard of it before.

I am getting a little tired of the whole "lets put in as many gratuitous sex scenes as we can!!" thing, too.

Just because Rome and the Tudors had it first, doesn't mean you have to copy them -- I'm talking to you Spartacus, Borgias, and now, Game of Thrones.

Ben - I agree the gratuitous sex scenes were started by Rome (which is still my favorite time-period show ever) but I definitely don't mind watching it.

now I understand why everyone is so pissed off by the events in the episode, really looking forward to the coming resolutions

I'm already beyond hooked. Can't wait for the coming episodes. Not sure what was complicated about the first 2 episodes but there are quite a few characters and lots of foreshadowing.

Dire wolves are awesome.
