Update. I had time today so I replaced the Valve Cover gasket and the intake manifold gasket. As I was replacing the intake gasket I found the hose that comes from the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold wasn't on the nipple. Once I was finished and the vehicle was put together I went to live data and the fuel trims are still stuck at -8.1 but I'm hoping I took care of my evap leak. I'm at the point where I think my issue is the DME, because all the info I can see from the o2 and maf is correct but the trims wont go into closed loop.

Well that doesn't happen right away. It takes a full warmup before they start moving.

The FPR not being hooked up explains the fuel being pulled out. Have you also confirmed the FPR side is also hooked up to vacuum? That vacuum hose is typically torn after 10+ years. Do you have any BMW diagnostic tools to reset the adaptions? I highly doubt your DME is faulty.

Yes, I confirmed its hooked up to the vacuum side. And I do understand it takes a full warm up for the trims to start moving. After I finished putting the vehicle back together I cleared the fault codes and reset adaptations. After getting the vehicle up to running temp I drove with the computer connected and trims remained at -8.1

What are using to reset adaptions? The Snap-On won’t do that from what I remember.

Have you previously removed the ECU? You can relatch it and then push the connector in firmly after. Sometimes the latch isn’t enough.

Did the car ever have the hfm wiring modified for a different hfm or supercharger?

Have you looked inside the wiring harness tray for shorted wires?

Does fuel pressure test correctly at idle and full load?

None of the wiring has been modified. Only thing I need to test is the fuel pressure. Would low fuel pressure cause the car not to go into closed loop? It just blows my mind, car the runs great its only the first 30 seconds upon a cold start that its a little rough but after that it runs strong. I can't imagine if my fuel trims were actually right how it'd run

Bad ECU coolant temp sensor or sensor wiring could make the car run rich.

I know you wrote you replaced the 02 and used NTK but are you certain they are the correct NTK? At least the US M3 used Titania oxide sensors that read differently from more common zirconia sensors.

The o2 sensors are the correct ones I just verified . Off of live data the coolant temp looks good as well as the o2 readings and the maf as well.
