Default TTFS tune launch control option for 6speed

have new headers installed and will either get the CSL airbox or make my own (not sure yet) but I was looking around for tunes and saw TTFS's tune shows they got launch control option for 6speed manual..

Haven't seen a video of it in action, I've seen a NA car w/ 2step (please don't confuse 2step and anti-lag.. they are completely different..) system once but not from TTFS. Anyone here that got it on their 6speed and would wanna take a video on how it works? and how it performs.

No video but it works well so long as you have proper tires otherwise it's a spin-fest. That's to be expected.

Last time I used it I got pulled over for an "unsafe start". Cop watched it from a Dunkin' Donuts and chased me down lmao

Why is it to be expected for a proper LC system?

Never seen a RWD car with worn/cheap tires properly launch. Usually there's a variable amount of spinning involved.

But if you're using launch control at a track I'd imagine you're also running a good set of tires, too.

The whole point of launch control is for it not to spin the tires uncontrollably.

yep! my major project next year is the subframe re-enforcement with the vince bar. so far no cracks on my subframe that we can see (maybe some under the subframe bushings itself?)

But just to get it done with before I start tracking and not have the worry of it breaking alongside vanos and rod bearings.

And I just wanna see how the system actually works. I've seen a 2 step NA e46 M3 (first rev limit was set to 3500 for launch) and it worked good. if he maybe had better gripping tires he would have less of a "spin" at launch.

If it cuts ignition based on slip (data aquired from speed sensors) then it will work fine like what dsc does, but with less agressive timing cut. Thats basically what dsc does invariably with a lot of aggression to the point it makes a launch super slow.
A rev limit while stationary is fairly easy. Usually set to ~6k rpm on stock cars to protect the motor. But that value can be changed. I suspect this tune is the latter option, though I have no info on this particular tune.
I say use ur left foot for traction control while launching on a manual car, good tires help alot. Here's mine @4.6secs 0-60, 255 rears:

I'm betting its just the neutral rev limit has been dropped to make 'launch control'
