If your SAP shows ready, you can remove it and it will still show ready, unless you undo the battery or clear dtcs. Then plug it back in or put it back in for smog testing.

Smart man! If I had to do it again, Iíd start at the GM module and fuse box. Just about every wire you can delete ends up there.

I think the word is around 50 for the sunroof delete/motor etc and around 25 or so for the head unit, amp, and speakers. Not sure about the wires.

Also curious about HK system weight. I'd love to dump all of it and replace the HU with something simple that can display gauges or something since I don't use the nav or even radio (it a a weekend/nice day toy car).

Now who has a DIY for speaker/wire removal?

I’ll be making one this winter.

Excellent. I planned to do it this winter but I'd rather wait for a competent person to do a DIY beforehand.

I don't know about the E46 and I can't remember where I heard this, but there's supposedly over 200lbs of wiring in the 3 series.

Can anyone shed some more info on that?
