Default JL Audio Stealthbox - Woofer Upgrade

i finally replaced my blown jl audio subwoofers. they originally came with 8ib4 and i upgraded to the 8w3-v3. the new woofers are a bit bigger but fits well in the stealth boxes. the bass sound is a bit deeper and has much more punch to them. overall its $320 well spent

W3 vs 8ib4

What interior speakers are you running? And what amp is powering the stealthboxes?

I just got the stealthboxes in and replaced them with Image Dynamics 8" subs. I haven't had a chance to install them yet though.

they sound a lot better then my w0's ever did. i agree using these w3's in the stealthbox is probably not the most efficient way as its not a tiny 0.3cu sealed enclosure or a 0.35cu ported enclosure. honestly i was just looking for a replacement jl audio woofer and this seems to work fine

Quote:
The 8W3v3-4 is best used with amplifier power in the 75W - 250W range and is optimized to operate in a tiny 0.30 cu. ft. (8.5 l) sealed enclosure, or a 0.35 cu. ft. (9.9 l) ported enclosure. Detailed enclosure recommendations can be found in the "Specifications" tab.
