Default Disappointed.....ECS Tuning one piece splitter bad fitment

Have you guys had any problems with fitment ? Do I need to start trimming the splitter.. or should it have fit the first time .. will post pics

Yeah, these 1 piece carbon fiber ones have strange fitment issues. It will help if you take the bumper off and install it off the car. It will allow the front bumper to flex slightly.

Pretty much every single race lip, whether ebay or ecs tuning or anywhere else will not fit perfectly. Some are worse than others.

Definitely install with the bumper off. It will make your life much easier.

I ended up using addition screws on top of what was provided by the vendor (pre-drilling the holes first).

I think if I remember from my splitters I used 1/2" self tapping screws. But be careful on the side with the windshield washer reservoir, you don't want to puncture that tank and if I remember it came really close with the 1/2" I don't think I screwed it in all the way on that side.

I feel bad laughing but I could only imagine your reaction as you ran it over and saw it come flying out the rear end of the car.

In addition to the screws you could use some double sided tape, many guys use this, I know the stuff I used years ago was super sticky and made a great bond.
