Default Castrol Edge 10w-60

Hi everyone, new M owner here. I just bought a 12 bottle case from Amazon and wanted to make sure that this is the correct bottle for our cars. It does say approved for M cars and Koenigsegg on the back. But I just want to verify this is what you guys are putting in your cars. Thanks in advance.

You're fine. Castrol has been tweaking its 10W-60 formulation and changing its packaging for years.

It says approved by Koenigsegg? yeah you're fine haha. Anything that Cristian Von Koenigsegg approves is way above anything else.

Any idea what the tweaks in formulation are, and if they correlate to packaging changes?

Just picked some up the other day from my local audi dealership and they came in the same new bottle. I still had a lighter gold color bottle from my last oil change I keep as a spare so I compared the two. The oil in the new bottle is a bit darker in color. Works the same as before. Been fine all week with me driving to and from work.

Awesome! Thanks for your input everyone. I know it says approved for M cars and what not. But I want to make sure I'm using the RIGHT oil as these engines are expensive. I'll be doing the oil change tomorrow along with the steering coupling in hopes to remedy the steering wheel play.
