...I have actually been trying to get a set of paddles similar to those AP paddles, made in full carbon for the SMG community. Hopefully this will be something in the near horizon, given how small and simple they are.

Idealy these 458 paddles would be awesome, looks very similar to the colour of our oem paddles and look fantastic. But hey, Maybe streamline will come out with something

Was thinking about picking up a 3D printer and rapid prototyping some designs I had in my head, that way I just drop the cad files or the paddles themselves to an engineering firm and see what metal options there are.

I've been putting that off for too long. So many applications for 3D printing, even if it's just for the early prototypes...

Long since discontinued. Relatively rare due to their price at the time. I hunted for ages and scored a set last year. Actually amassed a collection (absurd to tie up that much money in SMG parts really) and tried them all. The AP’s were ultimately not keepers for me. They stick out too far and make accidental shifts more frequent, particularly in low speed maneuvers - IE pulling out of a parking spot. Ideal for track use though! And an excellent match to OE Titan Shadow trim.

If they split the difference compared to stock, they would be perfect. 3D printing a set also crossed my mind but i would like to try the new ones Turner/ECS released last year first..

Storm paddles were $hit. All hype. They were the worst paddles. I hated them. Sad!

Not pictured: Pedalhaus. Also terrible.

Never liked the look of the storm paddles, the turner paddles look ok but not the look iím after, but the ap ones seem to be the best looking after market Iíve seem fitted to our Ms in my opinion.

Its too bad the OEM "euros" are so absurdly overpriced. I got a pair off Ebay and quite like them. Cost me $20..I suspect the seller didnt know what they had.

Woah....You are not kidding. Having never priced them out before I decided to check what they cost after reading your post....Over 500 dollars for either the stock standard SMG paddles or for the larger oversized OE paddles (which are not that different in size to stock).

I have a Euro spec car (so assume my paddles are the euro ones? - must be.)
Anyway I have been using the Storm paddles for 5 years. Initially the neoprene did feel like it was peeling at the edges - put i have had no issues, neoprene is 99% all good. Its kind of hardened as you would expect. I would recommend them.
PM me if you are desperate for Euro paddles.
