Just picked up 12 bottles of supercar from local Audi dealership here in Jacksonville for $9.50 a bottle. Good deal. They also had 2 bottles of the older TWS and so i added those too.

Someone go to Amazon and grab this "Amazon Warehouse" deal really quick as there is probably just one available.

~$102 plus tax for a full case (12).

It says "Used - Very Good" - item will be repackaged. Usually means the box got wet or otherwise destroyed enough that they needed to rebox it, and I would expect every oil container to be completely sealed and just fine. I've had many great buys from Amazon Warehouse. Click on the link below (yes, I know it says "something went wrong), then on the right side scroll down and click on "New and Used from $102..."

Actually it used to be that the one that was simply "EDGE" was the same as TWS (both API SJ oils, which is more or less the original ester based stuff). Edge Sport (API SM) was something else. Eventually everything was replaced by "Edge Professional" (API SM and API SN), which is now replaced by "Edge Supercar" (still API SN I think).

As far as I know, the new oil is no longer an ester based oil. Whether that's good or bad, who knows.

I think motor oils have advanced so much that you can't really go wrong with any top tier brand. I'm sure Castrol had the edge at one point when it came to M cars but to say that is still the case today is a bit of a stretch.

This is an old short article (2016) about counterfeit oil in stock looking bottles. I don't doubt they still exist out there. This is the reason why I'm skimmish about buying oil from Amazon or Ebay.

Wow, that's crazy. If you were wondering about the 12 pack Castrol Supercar on Amazon I bought a case last year and it seemed legit!

No reason to buy it on Amazon when your local Audi stealer is selling it for less.

This

I went in there to buy 7 more quarts and they were kind off to give me an even cheaper price without asking. Thank you Audi Jacksonville Florida.
