MIT cables? hum.... not sure if these are good enough for your setup. I had MIT cables with my home audio setup with tubes before, did like it all that much. Their "box" kinda color and alter the sound, kinda blurry. I really think some thing like Synergistic Research Active Shielding setup would be ideal for a audiophile like car audio setup. It really elimate all the noise, clean up everything and made everything sound so much better, better image, deeper stage and better bass definition.

just my .02

2 x 50 class A for the tweeters
2 x 150 for the midbass
2 x 600 for the subs

Genesis Audiophile 2 way front stage speakers

(2) JL Audio 8w7 subs

Singer Battery

BatCap caps

MIT interconnect and speakerwire

Dynamat sound deadening

The car will be involved in sound quality competition nationally and is sponsored by JL Audio, Genesis ICE, Dynamat, BatCap and MIT cables. Associated companies helping with the project are Magnaflow, Stinger, and some others to be mentioned later.

I will be posting pics on this site upon completion.

Ironically enough I have auditioned the Synergistic active shielding cables in my home, and they were quite lean sounding. I was hoping for them to work well, as bringing the active shielding technology into the 12v environment would be very cool. but they just did not sound very good to me.

MIT cables have better midbass hands down than anything else out there. Also they tend to image better. I now have the MIT Oracle series in my home, and consider them to be the finest cables i have had the pleasure of using.

I also think matching the right cables with the right equipment is very important and maybe the synergistic were a better match in your scenario. Which MIT were you using?
