I also seem to remember another way of reinforcing the subframe with epoxy and this was a cheaper route than the TMS kit. Does anyone know if this method is just as effective in preventing subframe failures?

I am pretty sure they wouldnt make a kit that isnt tested and proven. I got mine installed about 6 months ago so I guess we will see. The Indy shop I took it to has had installed them on many cars, every car that has been in after the installation has had no issues so I am pretty there good to go.

My TMS kit has been installed for a few years now. I just dropped the subframe and replaced my subframe bushings this month and everything looked fine. There were no signs of cracking or new cracks. My M3 was cracked at two spots prior to the repair/TMS kit installation and it has held up these past few years with plenty of track days. I'd say it is proven.

Im picking up an '03.5 next week. Ill be inspecting the rear subframe and will update my finds. I will then go to BMW dealer in SD and see what they say. The car is completely stock with 50k miles.

Keep pressing with BMWNA, we just booked another customer who is getting reimbursed for the TMS install. It seems they are now handling the issue case by case.
