Sorry to hear, and welcome to the cracked subframe club.
On a positive note it held to 65k miles, mine cracked @ 30k...

You are right here, I can't. I have met the second owner who had the car from roughly 25 - 40k miles and he assured he hadn't tracked it or abused it. Of course, I can't prove that, but in dealing with him I felt he was honest and upfront. He maintained the car well and had all records, etc. As for the first owner, I can't say. However, the car was a CPO for the 2nd owner so I assume the dealer fixed any issues the car had with it (a real big assumption here). At the time I bought it the warranty had just run out.

Yeah the video helped a lot. Next time I'm under the car I'm definitely checking for those spots.

Wow, when I checked my car I only looked at the two very visible mounts down near the diff. Never checked way up in there like that...

The answer is get it fixed for free. BMW will pay for it.

Even if your car is out of warranty?
What about if you have aftermarket suspension?

-Thanks

Even if your car is out of warranty.

Aftermarket suspensions are another issue. I'm sure YMMV. I saw a car just last week that had a supercharger and aftermarket suspension being repaired on BMW's dime. However, that sort of luxury may vary depending on the dealer you have inspect it. So, to be safe, I'd swap the stock suspension back in. At the end of the day, it's at BMW's discretion.

I have the same problem...see my thread. I am just going to let the dealer fix it for free, if/when it breaks again I will do the Turner subframe kit.

After all there were a lot of people the did a lot of hard work for us to be able to take it to the dealer and have them fix it for free.
