Default How many wheel weights do you have?

I just had new Michelin PSS installed on my ZCP rims and one rim has 10 1.25 oz weights installed on it.

EDIT: Turns out it is just 10 0.25 oz weights, so not so bad.

I am a little bit annoyed since the reason for going to these new wheels and tires was to save some weight, and one of my wheels almost has a full pound of weights added to it.

12.5 oz ?

Are you sure ? Each square weight is 0.25 oz. So your saying you have 50 of them?

Or do you really have 2.5 oz total?

Not all sticky weights are .25, i have seen some in .50 as well. Who ever balanced your wheels did not do it correctly. My guess is it wasnt centered properly when they put the wheel on balancer, Personally i would take it back tell them to re-do it, or cut your losses and get them road forced balanced. With that kind of weight on your wheels, im surprised they didnt use balancing beads

Well, the weights say "1 1/4 oz" on them. Maybe that means that each weight is 0.25 oz, but that would be a really weird way of stating it.

They are 1/4 oz. I took one off and weighed it on my kitchen scale. I guess that isn't too bad then. Overall the wheels have 10, 5, 7, and 8 1/4 oz weights on them.
