Default Flipped the car

Well guys, I hope yall's nights have been better than mine.

Headed from Nashville to go to Knoxville today and the rain got really bad through some hills on I-40 while traveling on a narrow 2 lane interstate. To sum it up, basically I was in the left lane and a tractor trailer was beside me (I was about where the gap is of the wheels on it) and was going through a bend. Speed limit 70mph I was going 60-65 and raining very hard and water shooting up from said truck all on the windshield, but I could see a deep puddle of stagnant water about 50 yards away. So I try to slow down to get over before I hit it while on the bend.. but was unsuccessful. Hit it and instantly hydroplaned (DSC on).

The median was a ditch with our side having a ~3ft drop and the other side having ~7ft drop so I hit the ditch and the side of the little hill pretty hard sideways causing me to flip 4-5 times. Car is absolutely destroyed but I have one cut on my ear and on little one on my face. THAT'S IT.

I was wearing my seatbelt which saved my life. But for some reason though, not one airbag deployed.

Pics will be up later (couldnt find my phone) and it's easily totaled. Another PY off the streets :/.

Morals: Always drive with DSC on (I was), wear your seatbelt, and DO NOT skimp on tires lol

Safe driving and cheers!! Excited for some more E46 M3 shopping!

Definitely glad to hear that you're okay. Again, we see how amazingly these cars were built, despite the few problems that they have. Things could have been much worse. Good luck with your future shopping!

Haha I wish something was salvageable on it.. but it's definitely all messed up.

And no the tires weren't worn badly at all. Just when I purchased it the PO put a new set of Diamondbacks on the back and they are HORRIBLE, but being the penny saver I am I couldn't just buy new tires when these still had tread.

I now realize that's a big no no
