Default Celebrate July 4th at Putnam Park

A friend operates Predator Motorsport and has an annual track day every year at Putnam Park race track. This year he lucked out and got Saturday July 4th.

I do this event every year and it's my favorite. Only 2 run groups (fast/slow). Thirty minutes on the track, thirty off. Typically just 20 or so cars per run group so lots of space, not as many "trains" etc.

There is no formal training, tho ride alongs with experienced drivers are easily arranged

Typically, the groups are combined in the afternoon for basically unrestricted track access. Drive til the wheels fall off if you want ! You will not get as much track time at any other track day, period.

Cost $300. Go to www.predatormotorsport.com to sign up.

Going to be at Putnam on June 6th with 10/10ths - a good group as well. Maybe I will check out the 4th - I ran with Predator my very first track day and they were good as well.

I think there are more pricing options too. I got this from my friend at Performance Driven.

Performance Driven and Predator Motorsports are putting on a Lapping Day, July 4th.

We are doing something different for this one to give people a chance to get some track time without doing the whole day.

Full day of 1/2 hour sessions $275, lots and lots of track time.

1 hour in the afternoon session $175

1/2 hour in the afternoon session $125

Final call. Four days off. Weather will be good. Lots of spots available. Call the organizer, Kumar, at 513-252-3808 to reserve a spot anytime up thru the day of the event. Bring cash to cover cost, no checks accepted.

Not going to be able to show up this weekend. I do have a day at Putnam Park scheduled in August. This will be the first time I track my new M3....will have about 3000 miles on the odo. It's still bone stock. Do you think I'll have any brake issues? I've read conflicting reports. I'm just not sure if PP is hard on brakes compared with other tracks. Any thoughts?

If you only 3K on the car, then everything should be fine. Have fun.
