Default For those running the APE e85 kit, what’s the max recommended ethanol blend you’ve gotten?

Mine seems to stay between e20-e30. It looks like most people who run this kit get between e40-e60.

I recently got the injectors cleaned and a new AEM e85 fuel pump. Fuel filter and regulator are also new.

Any idea why my blend recommendation seems low?

For a realistic E85 comparison (say 103 octane and 80% ethanol), E28 will "only" raise your octane to ~94, certainly better than the 91 you normally see. I have the AFD kit and run ~E60 which is ~100 octane and have done so for almost a year with zero fuel pump or injector issues. All I can say is that the DME and compression ratio of the S54 make lovely work outta 100 octane fuel.

I believe they all show e100 until you do a redline pull. Unless you’re running bigger injectors, it’s not recommended that you run 100% ethanol as the stock injectors can not support it.

Nvm I see you got bigger injectors lol. I guess I should have also added ‘if you’re running stock injectors’ to the question

You've got too much injector duty cycle

Well I figured. I guess I just thought I should be at a lower duty cycle. Or maybe the app bugging.

After I got the injectors cleaned, I thought maybe it would go up but actually it went slightly down (recommended blend). I thought this was weird considering one injectors was flowing at around half capacity before cleaning

Try resetting your fuel adaptations. Chances are your dme adapted to ur old fuel pump /filter combo.

Should be there when I make a run on full E85. Unfortunately I showed up with too much gas in the tank and limited how strong I could make the blend and only showed E50 at the time of the run and had dropped down to E46 by the time I was done as it was mixing in the tank.
