Bumping to see if anyone received any of the mentioned splitters, think I'm going to remove my karbonius flippers.

Not sure what lip

But this lip on a stock/semi stock m3 would look stupid. That’s what I meant with supporting mods

If you guys are interested in front splitter options, I've got something in the works that I posted in another thread.

http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showt...565038&page=26

I should have the first prototypes installed in a weeks time.

Thought I'd do a quick post to share progress on some of the things that were mentioned earlier.

The front splitter & side skirt extensions are officially in their final prototyping stages with the first pre-production batch of laser cut components due to arrive on the 2nd and the splitter panel 5 working days after once some measurements are double checked and tweaked if needed.

Here's a little teaser pic of the design:

This will also be coming out with a pair of side skirt extensions as well as some other aero parts & new bushes early next month.

Some interesting points that should make this fairly different to other options are:

-Quick release requiring only 5 bolts and 4 screws removed from beneath only to pull from vehicle.

-Does not require any other components to be touched (front bumper etc) to be remove/fit.

-extends rearward to aluminium belly pan creating a flat floor for the forward most 1/3 of the vehicle.

-Mount to belly pan using a butted joint rather than a lapped joint to minimise airflow disturbance/drag.

-Maintains wheel arch liners and front wheel wind deflectors for superior airflow characteristics both in the wheel well, engine bay and through heat exchangers making it well suited to vehicle driven for both street & track.

-Can be quickly removed and factory under tray re-installed with no other part removal if not wanting it as a permanent addition
-Will be available in both 25mm (street) & 50mm (track) outstand from body work. 25mm ~=35-40mm forward of a single piece carbon front lip at centre point from memory.

Something else that got me thinking was that after spending some time with the front of the car apart and analysing the working area I highly suspect it would be possible to expand on the front splitter design in future and add front diffuser tunnel inbound of the rear wheels if the windscreen washer bottle is deleted.

This idea is something I'll experiment with a little further down the track once I wrap up a few other fun things such as a matching rear diffuser and some additional body vents. This is because to make it as effective as possible I'd need to be mindful of both down & up stream airflow and thus would wont to release it simultaneously with a brake ducting kit as well as the vent design I had mentally prepared that would duct through the factory front guard vent to minimise high pressure build up in the wheel arch.

Thanks for reading guys! I'll show off plenty of things as they start showing up.
If you follow my Facebook or Instagram I'll be posting about something this weekend no related to this that I've been looking forward to for far too long!

Very interested.

Any idea how much it will be to ship those over here?

I couldn't say for certain. I'd expect about $150 Aud (~$100 USD at the current exchange rate). Given the size I wont be able to send through the usual Aus post so it would have to be with DHL express.

The splitter itself would be $599 Aud (~$402 USD) so I'd assume just over $500 USD delivered for splitter, mounts and associated hard ware with instructions (subject to exchange rate and air freight variance).
