Cool mod for budget track cars, but it looks odd on a street car.
cf roof Is 4x the cost and amount of labor.
I think it looks great.

Yeah itís a fun look for a track car, but a cf panel on a color other than black looks a bit out of place. Fine for a track build, though.

Having a roof installed currently, and to lower the install costs I removed everything, but the sun roof itself.

It's doable. I pulled mine out when the clips ended up binding.

from anything other than a couple of feet it looks just like the glass that i removed. i plan to transition the car into a streetable hpde car and this was a great first step in my mind, plus the sunroof was broken.

i tried to take a few pics earlier but the sun was so bright it was hard to get a representative pic. ill try again with the garage closed later but this gives you an idea

If you put a wrap on the roof
Would the seams show?

Its hard to imagine they wouldn't unless you did body filler and perfect sanding.

Yeah I get what youíre saying from a distance it looks the same, but for some of us, the devil is in the details. The second you get within 5ft youíll know itís cf.

Aesthetics aside, how did t change the driving dynamics, if it did at all?

Yes! Thanks, itís hard to see, but are you using the gasket surrounding the opening of the headliner as well? How did you secure the panel in place?

I have a streetable HPDE car, which is why Iím going this.

Thanks again

Really depends how particular you are with your car. I personally can’t be happy with an exposed cf through cutout headliner inside, which can be fixed with slicktop headliner I suppose. The unevenness and a fake sunroof look however will still bug me.
