Debating on a rear seat delete for my car for when I'm running two Recaros. Would definitely be interested in seeing installed pics

I will keep everyone updated here when I get updates/pictures/information! Also will message Pre-Order ONLY (people on the page 1 list) people personally to update them.

SF will be finishing the panels in Powdercoated Textured Black which is their default finish for those who were asking recently regardless of which metal they use for the panels.

I can't comprehend why anyone would do the steel at 30 lbs instead of just leave the back seat in.

Yer I agree... A rear seat delete needs to be as light as possible... Aluminium, GFRP, CFRP... if not then you are literally better off just leaving the seat in as you have said...

Well... 100% light as possible or not used at all if you are doing a full cage... I think you can add a touch of weight back in the form of carpet or covering if you are only doing a half cage so the seat delete can achieve a M3 GTS style look... exposed aluminium looks pretty povo if you only have a half cage and will keep the car for some amount of street duty... once its full track bare aluminium and CFRP etc are obviously badges of honour :P haha

Still needs to be meaningfully lighter than the stock back seat to make sense imo. Otherwise you’re paying more to have more nhv without benefit in exchange.

If you’re taking about putting carpet on the 30 lbs steel version, you’ll probably end up heavier than the stock seat :P

Haha nar I meant putting carpet on and aluminium version or a GFRP / CFRP version (not that they make those but just to make it clear I mean on seat deletes which should be lighter than stock).

My only real point with the carpet is that although on an aluminium version you will still be lighter than stock rear seats you have added back some unrequired weight... For a half cage setup that will be a street / track car I guess I am saying I think that is a reasonable balance between form/function providing it is still lighter than stock (although you would need to be getting pretty over the top with the carpet / covering setup to be as heavey as stock again haha. As if you have to drive the car on the street you don't want it to be povo...

For a track car (full cage) I don't think you would bother with a rear seat delete "kit" unless you need it as a firewall (radium engineering fuel surge tank, fuel cell, etc) as you would just pull the rear seat out never to be seen again haha.

Even though i think the steel version is completely pointless it is still good to see someone still developing stuff for this car given its age...

Thatís why all pre-order people are doing aluminum option not steel.
