Default Karbonius CF Airbox

The later versions of the Karbonius CF Airbox are known to be some of the best aftermarket CSL-style CF airboxes. Awesome fitment and incredible carbon fiber quality.

I am selling mine that has a damaged clear coat. The clear coat either cracked from being over-torqued or defect in the quality of the coat. I got a quote from a couple local body shops and they were willing to do it for roughly $200.

The CF Airbox otherwise is structurally perfect. No damage to the carbon fiber, no cracks to the carbon fiber, no yellowing/haziness, no dents. The fitment was spot on for me. No interference with the strut towers or other parts of the engine bay.

Price: $1800 shipped obo
Shipping: FedEx Ground Insured
Availability: NOW! No long wait time!

For all inquiries, questions, or comments, please feel to post here respectfully. If there are any concerns, I will be as candid as possible and be reached via PM or here.

Thanks!

Great price here. Did you run with just a tune or csl rail and dme?

Thanks!

I initially ran an AlphaN tune, then later ran the CSL Rail, MAP sensor, and ECU conversion.

Are those for sale or are you replacing this Karbonius with OE?

You can wet sand the clear layer down and do it yourself pretty easily. It's only carbon.

For any buyers who may actually be scared off by a minor defect like this.

Thank you for the vote of confidence. The places I've inquired with also said that it should be a really easy fix.

Hey question, are you sure it is possible to wet sand without it hitting the carbon and damaging the carbon?

I only ask because I have a hood with carbon vents and have the same issue you with cracks in the clear coat. I wanted to wet sand it down and re clear coat it but every body shop I talked to said the would most likely hit the carbon and damage it. Is this true?

I was going to re wrap the vents but would def prefer to save the carbon that is on there.

You would be sanding with really fine paper, probably like 1500 grit. I highly doubt you'll do any damage to the fiber.
