The car has just been tucked away this whole time but I did add something really nice: Brembo BBK!

I picked them up sometime last year from a track buddy who was parting out.

Specs:

Monoblock calipers - 6 pistons front, 4 pistons rear.
Slotted rotors- 365mm front, 345mm rear.
Endless ME20 pads.

The monoblock calipers are just a work of art in person! And the not-so-common 365/345 sizes means they clear more wheels, incl. my 18” ARC8s track wheels (which don’t clear the giant 380s).

The brakes were functional but really beat up comestically. Too beat up to bolt on the car as is. They sat in boxes for a few months until I finally sent them out to get redone.

Thanks to Dave @ Renewed Finishes for the work, and Alex @ PE for the referral.

Here there are disassembled, stripped and blasted. I went with yellow with black lettering. The decals are under the clear coat so they can’t just peel off.

I couldn't believe how nice they looked when they came back lol

Look at the size of the front pads!

Installation.
I reused the (worn) rotors and pads so I kept them in their original location to avoid any weird stuff.

Also added the OE Performance wheel!

With that done it was time for the car to come out of hibernation!

Went to Spring Mountain Motorsport Ranch late April with a bunch of the guys. Ran the 3.4 mile configuration with bus stop. Such a blast!!
Doctor3vil and dixis18: you guys were missed

Group pic

Some of the other nice cars that weekend

Awesome update Kevin! Thanks for the shoutout and I'm so glad the calipers worked out well for you. Dave@RF is awesome to work with and seriously one of the best we've ever collaborated with. Best part is that his yellow finish is VERY resilient against champion track drift stars such as yourself. Looking forward to seeing how the finish endures over the...hopefully years...of ownership :P

My West Coast, once, doppelgänger never seizes to amaze me in our similarity...not only were our cars identical at some point in time, but we choose the same vehicle number?!?! LOL

Alex, post pictures in your own journal!

The only stuff k see about your car is in other people's FB posts and journals, that seems backwards.

Those calipers

Dave@RF is awesome to work with and is a stand up guy. The work he does it the best in the industry and can't beat his prices. I'll take credit for leading Alex to him
