Kaiv sprayed some simple green and pressure washed the valve train. That's why it looks so good guys. He is also waxing it for me. I've heard this is the exact same as WPC treatment so don't waste your money on that.

On a more serious note, no I had no signs or symptoms that the guide was damaged. I just assumed it would be since most are when checked. I wish the Beisan upgrade was available but looks like maybe next time it's popped open can switch to that.

Seeing that valve train makes me want to buy a second head, get it cleaned up, and install all new valve train and cams.....

Some more updates via kaiv

Thorough cleaning of the valve train. I told kaiv to leave the cover off so I can rock it to the hard parker shows like this and claim first place prizes. I hear they give out a lot of hookers and blow if you win.

Updated OE Vanos line.

Fresh sparkers.

This will need to go in the trash.

Had a coolant temp sensor code so got that replaced.

Car on her rag.

I fear for the new forum member(s) searching through your thread for maintenance tips.

Ya your right. Kaiv is a professional so this shouldn't be tried by everyone, or at least not before watching a YouTube video on how to do it first.

My daily kaiv update:

He spotted these cracks on the Vibra Technic transmission mounts. I noticed these too a while ago and emailed Vibra and they said its normal and fine.

kaiv spotted the Ground Control FCAB inserts which look to be failing. I ordered a rebuild kit to have these changed out. Not sure what caused the failure.

The Guibo was installed backwards previously by a "reputable" shop. Very disappointing. Luckily kaiv is there to save the day and correct these mistakes.

Transmission and diff fluid flush.

kaiv spotted a missing bolt on the power steering reservoir so decided to add one for me. So glad to finally have someone that cares working on my car and fixing others mistakes.

Coolant system pressure tested. I opted to go with around 25% coolant, 75% water, and a bottle of water wetter. I think that will be a good combo for max cooling and lubrication of the system.

Air filter has seen better days. I guess one too many offs at the track lol.

MAF getting a cleaning.
