Thank you! It's always nice to know other people can appreciate how I put my car together. I've built a handful of dual purpose street/track cars over the years and after having fast cars at first, then building a slow car (not the M3), it has completely changed my driving style and approach to modding all my future cars. This E46 M3 has been my favorite and is no exception to my approach.

The single exit is significantly lighter than a dual exit. This also provides a straight through design which has less bends in the exhaust so flow is improved dramatically as well.

The exhaust I had at first was Magnaflow's dual exit, off-the-shelf exhaust. This was a nice upgrade over stock, a lot lighter, sounded great and made decent power.

The single exit I have now is a co-branded Magnaflow/BimmerWorld race exhaust which is a little more track focused and gave me a very noticeable bump in power over the Magnaflow dual exit. It's not for everyone but I'm very happy with it.

Thanks, Alex!

Below is a short video from Willow Springs last weekend I posted in the Track/Auto-X thread but figured I'd throw it in here too.

Tomorrow and Thursday is the Global Time Attack Super Lap Battle at Buttonwillow. I'll be competing in the Limited RWD class here and will probably get my ass kicked! I'll report back on Friday on how everything goes.

Not much has happened with my M3 in terms of modifications lately but I have been tracking the hell out of it. I competed in Bimmer Challenger at Willow Springs on 10/31 then drove straight to Las Vegas to finish prepping our Eibach booth for the SEMA show.

After the SEMA show Friday night I drove straight home and packed the M3 again and headed to Chuckwalla Valley Raceway to attend the NASA Competition Licensing School on 11/7 and 11/8...and passed!

I went in to the office the following Monday and Tuesday and then packed the car again to compete in the Limited RWD class of Super Lap Battle at Buttonwillow on 11/11 and 11/12. I ran a new personal best of 1:56.793 on a used set of Hankook TDs a friend let me have. My NT01s were toast by the end of the first day, however, I also ran a personal best of 1:58.2 on the NT01s before switching to the TDs. The 1:56.7 landed me in dead last of my class by less than 1/10th of a second. No big deal though. I knew what I was getting myself into by entering such a competitive class without proper power or aero.

My M3 is still on relatively stock power with the Magnaflow/BW exhaust being the only power mod. Short term goals with the car are to replace the stock radiator with the Koyo radiator I received a few weeks ago that I haven't had a chance to put in as well as get some decent race headers or even euro headers along with a decent tune.

Below is a video of my fastest lap at Buttonwillow during Super Lap Battle as well as few pictures various friends took over the two days we were there.

I enjoyed the fist pump at the end of your best lap, lol. Can't wait next spring to get my car on the track. Definitely some motivating stuff here. Good Luck!
