Nelson's Ledges hairpin: engine just stopped and I nearly got rear-ended by a 'Vette that had been dogging me. I was down to 3 gallons and now try to stay at least 1/2 full.

Never did it in a car, always on a bike. You will feel very out of sorts on the first few laps, there are quite a few blind hills you can see whats on the other side of. Once you get familiar, you will be hammering through them. Id be curious to see how these guys handle the downhill hard right before you get to back straight (By the museum). I saw 5 guys lowside there the day I was at Barber.

Have fun man. It is a great experience.
