Had the same result when I went to 275's in the rear of my E46. The DSC kicked in a lot more. Was pretty ridiculous. Small changes in tire sizes seem to throw off the system.

All fascinating.

Why not turn off the DSC , esp in an auto-x???

What happens if you go to a longer sidewall e.g.: 265/50?

The main reason I posted this thread was because I was shocked at how much easier the rear end steps out. Going around a turn, hitting a small bump (that barely rotates the car) and DSC comes on. Not a lot but the light does flash.

See my picture if you want to know what I do at AutoX. What is DSC? lol

There comes a point where an incorrect sidewall effects handling and dampening. A 265/40 for that matter would provide some disconnect of feel but more load capability due to the bigger sidewall. All in all, the tires I have now are making me be more cautious of throttle input and balance. Lesson in disguise...

When I run at the track I switch to Toyota 265/30/19 and 235/35/19 in front bc Toyota r888 don't come in oem. I run dsc off bc it doesn't know how to calibrate the difference.
