Default New to me M3

Just picked up a car I’ve wanted since high school..E36 M3 Sedan w a manual! Bought from a friend and she’s I really good shape for 20 years old! Front seats need attention and a few things here and there but not bad for 200K on the odometer mechanically sound and I have all the receipts/service that’s been done over the past 12 years. Super stoked...

Very nice man. What wheels are those? Look pretty good.

my 95m is just a ton of fun, one of the most engaging cars I've ever driven. I'd love to hop in a sedan too

Sedan nice.

Please run either no front plate, or if your state mandates one, a properly centered one.

This looks way odd.

True.
However, folks do it the way the OP has it in order not to have to bolt the plate to the front bumper and can keep the front clean. That way, for stuff like cars n coffee or track days, it's cleaner.
When it's time to leave, you just bolt it back on with the modified tow eye bolt. That car looks to have the bolt covers removed already so it's not going to look good no matter what.
That center section also looks to be aftermarket since it does not have BMW in it...or perhaps that BMW embossed section was not made for every year, was changed for some years ...or gets swapped out when the front plate mount kit is installed?

I have my plate on the passenger side. I did not want it blocking airflow to the intercooler. I had to trim down the tow hook mount piece because it made the plate stick out an inch or two.

She’s a blast, the wheels are actually OEM BMW Wheels, he told me what they came off of but I don’t remember...Have to go through all the paperwork/ receipts that came w the car..

In VA, cops routinely pull & ticket folks for no front plate. If your state issues front & rear, but your state or locality is lax, great but it is a ticket-able issue.

That's the OEM piece for the wide Euro plates. That's why it has these mounting points exposed exactly where the holes in that piece are located.
