I just ordered the Bendpak Mid-Rise Scissor Lift. I rent a townhouse, so couldn't put anything permanent in my garage. Looking forward to seeing how well it works.

Any lift is better than none. I don’t really like the scissor lifts for under car work due to access issues. There is a great portable 2 post called Max Jax but you do have to drill the concrete floor. I think the Quick Jack is a great portable jack and leaves you room to do an exhaust or pull a trans or drive shaft though you will be on your back since it is low rise.

I have a 2 post floor plate. Top plate is best but I did not have the ceiling height. I have 10’6”. I can have 6’ under my E36M3 or E90M3 since neither has a tall body.

was set on a 4 post lift then visited a local shop with 2 post.... and totally see the benefits for my future motor swap work...... so doing nothing until I decide.

4 post - allows me to have long term extra parking space.....
2 post - the true legit shop lift no compromises for access.....

It will take me a while to feel comfortable under a 2 post though
