Default Re: Dilemma between two cars

We had a 99 E39 528i for 6 years while I had my 99 E36 M3. Every time I got in the E39, I thought, Wow — this is a lot of car compared to the E36. Felt so much more solid and was more comfortable. Was not as fast and did no handle as well.

I still have the E36 M3. I replaced the E39 528i with an 08 E90 M3 eight years ago and still have that. I still think the E39 is a nice car; I just wanted something equally practical but newer and faster and better handling.

I totally agree about the E39 ANd E36 thing. They're different and fun in their own ways. If I ever had to get an E39 again it'd have to be my first E39 or my first car that I'd make my M5 out of or an E39 M5 in 2000 specifically because the sport interior got full leather option only in 2000. Even with the rod bearing issues I'd love a 00
