Default How To Get Apartment Approval

When the throwout bearing gave up as I was pulling into my parking spot, here's how I got my apartment management's approval to let me do the work right there...see pics. The cones took almost a month to get...the first eBay seller didn't deliver, and I had to go through the process to get money back to place an order with another eBay seller as I needed cones with the reflective stripe.

The cover is for an SUV so that when I have the car in the air it would offer an aesthetically pleasing effect. I was amazed to see the amount light under the car while offering privacy...I didn't want the apartment manager to see that it's actually heavy maintenance as they wouldn't probably not approve. So, I removed the exhaust all my myself and kept it under. Went to Autozone to rent a slide hammer but theirs was too large and without the accessories...Oreilly's was the same also. So, I order one on eBay for $18.99 and it's one the way.

I really appreciate Phil's (pbonsalb) loaning me some tools and for his patience.

i don't ever want to do another transmission on the ground again. getting it out was ok. putting it in by myself was a mother f-er. interesting bracket on your exhaust that holds it to the trans...never seen that before.

It’s a 95 M3 thing.

I can’t believe you waited a month for cones lol. I would have had this fixed in a day! Best of luck though.

I also can't believe you waited a month for cones lol. Props from one apartment liver to another. I went another route though, make friends with people who have spaces and bribe them into letting you work there.

I've done that multiple times to a friend that has 2 lifts at his house. I just bribe him with rent money with the lift and it's so worthed

Thanks Braymond...actually, it was 21days and I was pissed; however, that's the deal I made with the apartment manager.

Everybody and anybody can do it better than you from their computer screen. Armchair quarterbacks... Kudos for jumping through the hoops.

Oh, by the way, I would have gotten it done in less than half a day. Without tools. Just bare knuckles!
