Default Spoiler Gaskets

Is anyone reproducing the spoiler gaskets yet? I would like to take my spoiler off to do paint correction on the trunk but I know the oem gaskets dont exist.

The adhesive, or the clear tape for outer fenders?

I have a company producing the clear tape soon.

Now that you mention it, both. The clear tape on the quarters is looking pretty tired. I believe the clear tape used to be available at the dealership. Is that NLA?

It may be NLA, i'm not 100% certain. It was only available with the complete install kit though but the film they use is garbage quality (thus excessive yellowing). They never switched to a better brand over the years..

Will look into producing the double sided gaskets. The last install kit I bought to get those specifically were not included, so they are likely NLA.
Easy to duplicate though.

There are no gaskets, just body mounting tape. Plenty of install kits still available from BMW.

Edit; my mistake, this is a normal spoiler question. Still there are no gaskets but for whatever reason BMW doesn’t include the mounting tape in the normal spoiler kits.

Braymond, so are you saying that body mounting tape will work with the factory spoiler in terms of preventing moisture from getting into the trunk through the mounting holes?

No. All I said is they aren't gaskets... but I guess when you put it like that, they are.

BMW does not include the gasket with mounting kit, in many cases I've seen examples of reusing the same gasket and the spoiler mount quality would depend on how much the gasket is damaged during previous removal. It is possible to reuse if not damaged during removal but very hard to accomplish this.

Itís body mounting tape, not a traditional gasket material. That tape is going to rip or be cut anytime the wing is removed.
