Default 1997 M3 Sedan - $7,900 OBO

PRICE REDUCED AGAIN TO $7,900.....NEED TO SELL

1997 BMW M3 Sedan with 185,000 miles. Vehicle runs and drives great.

I have owned this car for the past 3 years as a hobby and stored in Avon. I occasionally have taken it to Drivers Schools at Nelson Ledges and Mid Ohio and it is a blast on the track.

The car had the following performance upgrades installed when I purchased it:

1. Turner Motorsport Stage 5 Engine kit (cams, mass airflow, headers, programming, etc) $5,000 in parts alone. Takes the motor from 240hp to 280hp-300hp.
2. Bilstein PSS9 coilovers/shocks - height adjustable, rebound adjustable
3. Lightweight flywheel
4. New clutch
5. X-brace
6. Turner rear RTAB limiters
7. Cold Air Intake
8. Borla CAT back exhaust

Since purchased, I have made the following improvements and maintenance:

1. New rear tires - June 2016
2. New Aluminum Radiator
3. New high performance water pump with metal impeller (not plastic)
4. New radiator hoses (upper and lower)
5. New tie rods
6. New Stoptech slotted rotors
7. New Hawk Blue race pads
8. Turner motorsport HD swaybars and spherical end links
9. New Powerstop Race Front Control Arm Bearing (Delrin)
10. New front wheel bearings
11. New Driver front lower control arm
12. Front ECS strut tower bar
13. Rear TMS strut tower bar
14. Stainless Steel Brake Lines

The paint on the car has many small stone chips and scratches. It is not a show queen but it has a solid body. I replaced the rear trunk because it had rust near the license plate bolt locations.

The interior is black leather and in good condition. All electronics and AC work. It has heated seats and the trip computer which works fine as well. The car has a sunroof.

If you are looking for a good car that can take you to work every day and then kick butt at the track....then this car is what you are looking for.

I have 5 TR Motorsports wheels with Hoosier R6 slicks that I will sell separately.

Also.....noting that I mistakenly typed 1998 when it should be 1997.

Thanks - looks like Arctic Silver (same as my 540). Honestly my #2 pick after Estoril blue but you're in my region (here in IN vs. CA or FL where other cars are at) and have a nice setup so I'm gonna have a serious think about it. Any underbody rust issues, etc.?

No underbody rust. It has a few spots with surface rust (doors). I am not a paint expert so I have left those alone. Under the rockers it had some rust and I sanded that down and repainted. 2 areas had holes so I welded in complete patches. Its all under the rocker but I completely redid it all. The trunk had 2 areas with rust around the license plate bolts so I replace the trunk lid.

This is not a show car. I bought it for a fun weekend driver 3 years ago and barely put 3k miles on it. It has been stored inside the whole time. The front has lots of stone chips and it could really use a repaint.

The previous owner was a driver for Turner Motorsport a long time ago so that is why it has a lot of Turner parts on it.

Cool - yeah the main worry was rocker / frame rail rot (and then also suspension being a pain to replace later if all rusted together). Sounds like you did what you could to mitigate that. For a good track car and looking decent enough to commute in, it seems to do the trick even with some rock chips, etc.

However, I had a deep consideration but really would prefer to hold out for an Estoril one. I think this is a well set up track tool though so I'll mention it to the locals in the club if they are looking for one.
