I hate to be that guy but that wheel makes that interior look cheap. Would be better off to spend the money for a euro 3 spoke or the Mtech II.

CD43. It's expensive. But worth every penny IMO
That would be a Rover deck with a china M logo

It's out of an 850

Common. Your better than that. Orange back lit is BMW. If it was Range Rover it would be green.

The M logo could be China. That's probably where BMW sources those from

Im sorry that you don't believe me. But if feel the urge go ahead and remove the m logo and you will see. Not all Rover decks light green. Sellers add it to cover the Rover logo.

I'll have to check. You could be right. I'll take it off, take a picture. Then either order another m logo from BMW. Or leave it if nothing is there.

When I purchased it I figured they used the m logo to cover up smudged or missing BMW business cd font.

Going off subject : nice vaders

I saw some about a year ago someone was parting out for $1000. I should have hopped on those!!!

Also, why did you replace the door handles, with new ones?

Sorry for being vague. The questions are for you.

And I just looked at the ECS one you sent me. And it looks different from mine. (Which means your right. The one on my radio is probably is Chinese)

Atleast the cd43 itself is German!!

He's right, that is a Rover branded unit. BMW would never sell a radio with an M badge on it (well maybe in today's world they would) but not stick a badge on it, in this orientatation.

An infamous Ebay seller, sold these all over Ebay as genuine BMW units. Technically this is correct as BMW owned the Rover brand, but of course, is very misleading. Action was never taken though.

I did this pic years ago to point out the subtle differences between the units.

p.s. The CD43 was immensely popular 5-10 years ago. It's funny as the pure OEM/OEM+ has become so dominant now, specially in Germany, now everybody just doesn't want OEM(+) but all the high-end versions of what was available.

In case of the headunits, the never popular BMW Professional RDS (aka BE2450/BE2455), demand now has suddenly skyrocketed, with insane prices asked and paid. It's made my Becker and the only modern "Professional" unit (there is the older BMW Professional Bavaria C (RDS)) version, but this system needs multiple components and more suitable for the E30/E34/E32 crowd.

These units are the only models to feature a double FM tuner, which makes for some cool options. Like displaying all stations in reach, while tuned in to one and the BE2455 lets you select a traffic announcement station, independently from the station you are tuned in to, or while browsing.
It was by far the most expensive radio BMW offered during E36 production and now everybody wants one.
I'm not even sure it was offered in the US. I have not seen a single US car with this unit on the option list.

Pic of a German acquaintance who is also deep intp the OEM(+) stuff, showing the BE2455 with selected station in upper row, stations within reception range on bottom line.

(yes that is an OEM in-dash navi system under the OBC).

Here's the results from removing the m logo on the $350.00 radio I purchased on eBay that is claimed to be out of an 850i

It appears the Range Rover logo has been removed.

And to top it all off. DaytonaM3 great Job noticing the fake Chinese M wheel badge
