Default Extreme e90 power on dyno?

Hi guys.

I just got myself a 2009 (9-2009) e90 M3, and got the workshop preparing and checking the car to put it on the dyno. The numbers look crazy, as the car produced 469hp. at a previous run the car overheated a bit due to the dyno fan not being turned on. The engine management system responded by lowering the power to 390hp. After cooling down and running it again we got the crazy 469 hp measurement.

I suspect the dyno to be sick, but the workshop says that it has correct measurements on other cars.

Have any of you guys dyno results on a unmodified e90 M3 that is better than expected?

Default Re: Extreme e90 power on dyno?

It would be much lower if you ran the car on a Dynojet. Stock cars do 330-360 rwhp SAE. Cars with all the bolt on mods and a tune do 370-400 rwhp. Your car is no exception. It is the dyno you ran on that is the problem.
