Oh yeah, get that light read and I wouldn't put any more money into it until I know what it said. And I'm not sure about the flash to see you either all I know is stuff from when I used to have a turbo DSM

Default Car idle and acceleration hesitating

Here's what I found when I read the errors. I don't see listed anything denoting what error code would come up if read with a Peake scanner.

I'm not sure what this device is that it's referring to?

Second pic shows the second O2 sensor appears to be bad? My pic is cut off at top so I don't know what that top error actually is.

On a side note I did find one small vacuum hose unplugged when I crawled under the car yesterday. However it did not help. In fact things got worse when I plugged MAF back in.

A bad 02 can make your car run like shit too. Swap then around and see if you get the error to follow the bad sensor

Just swapped out the 2 pre-cat O2 sensors as I didnt have more than just 2. So far no change in performance.
I also changed out the cam position sensor, IAT sensor, engine coolant temp sensor, MAF, and i have a crank position sensor to install when I can get on a lift.
Olemiss540, where in the wiring is the resistor you found in the MAF wiring loom?

If I can't find a smoker for detecting vacuum leaks I may be forced to remove the intake manifold and just replace the gaskets. Do some cleaning, replace all vacuum hoses, etc. With the amount of miles i have on this car it might be prudent just to do it. I dunno. I need this car running better.

Still having this issue and it's actually getting worse. I asked around locally to see if anyone had a smoke machine to no avail. I keep telling myself I don't have time to make one and troubleshoot why mine isn't working. LOL!
To date, I have replaced the following:
Cam position sensor
Engine temp sensor
Valve cover gasket
MAF
Pre-cat O2 sensors
IAT sensor
Fuel filter
Plugged one vacuum line

I still have the crank position sensor to replace, but I don't think that's it. And I have the intake manifold gaskets to replace, but have been so busy on my e46 M3 and my daughters 318i vert that this car just sits in the garage. Removing the intake manifold is pretty involved but I hope it reveals something. The cars driving condition is worsening. Finally, to recap, the supercharger is off the car. But I had the problem even when it was on the car so it's not related.

Assuming you've checked this given all the other stuff you replaced, but any cracks in the underside of your intake boot? They can be hard to see because the rubber is stiff and the cracks happen between the bellows.

Just checked and it's pretty tightly sealed. I liked the idea but unfortunately it didn't help me

No actually. Never even crossed my mind. How could the VANOS cause this engine to run so shi**y like it is? If it's a possibility point me in the direction of what maintenance should be performed on it.
