That's why I don't mind waiting until about 2010 to get an E92. I also want to see the CSL first in addition to knowing if they are going to make any changes to the car like a ZCP package.

Sometimes you pay the price to be the first on the block though. I think most first year model owners realize this.

So has anyone else heard incidents of this? Hope it's not an epidemic.

Add me to the list - My E92 M3 came up today with the pump failure and reduced power quite quickly....it is going in tomorrow for a formal diagnosis - will keep all informed.

I swear my car is cursed - first the engine trouble and now this....

All I can do now besides regreting my decision to buy this thing is to pray and hope BMW fixes it again properly.

One quite unhappy M3 owner

I guess so! I hate it for you bro. If wasn't for bad luck....

Crossing fingers here hoping that this will be the end of your run of bad luck.

that suks...

then again, at least it's being identified and rectified...

it's a complex car, and all makes have issues, especially the first generation...
they took outstanding care of your engine issue, I have no doubt you'll get the deluxe 'kid glove treatment' this time

I'm going to move this to the mech issue sticky

I would wait at least 3 years of production before even thinking about picking up the New M3. I do agree, you do pay a price to get something fresh and brand new on the block before anyone else does.

Hi,

I own a brand new M3 . 2007.
At 3500 Km I had the yellow indicator of the engine on and power limitation.
They said to me that there was a problem in the sixth cylinder and it will need a couple of days to fix it ..
I do not understand a BMW an M3 ..? I respected all the speed and RPM rules .. I am chocked ..
Not to talk about the quality of the drivers s leather seat which wrinkled completely and look awful

Did anyone experience the same problems ? Help please
