Has anyone purchased a warranty when you bought your used E9X out of concern for the rod bearings, throttle actuator, convertible roof, EDC suspension, etc?
A few companies out there that offer this coverage include CarChex, rt. 66, etc. |

I bought mine from the local BMW dealer in June 2017. The underwriter is Continental Warranty Co. I have a 2011 E93 M3 with 55k and they covered it. It's a pretty comprehensive warranty and even covers a lot of the wear parts like engine mounts, strut bearings, etc. $50 deductible per incident.

I bought mine from the BMW dealer in October 2016 and the underwriter is Fidelity. I'm running a 2008 E92 M3 that had 33k miles at the time of purchase. Warranty covers all mechanical issues for the next 4 years or 48k additional miles, and allows me to have work done at the dealership. Cost $3200 with $250 deductible per incident. I figured just the cost of throttle actuator bank replacement would allow me to nearly break even on the warranty.
