Default Re: Idle hunting/ stalling while stopped(car warm)

I had a similar issue about 6 months ago. I went to clean my IACV and noticed oil in my intake manifold and my throttle bodies seemed gunked up. I cleaned it all and have not had any stalling issues since. Not sure where the oil came from. Not sure if it's from an over oiled intake filter or the line on the bottom of the Intake manifold. I plan to eventually reinstall my K&N and will check to see if oil has formed in there again.

I had a thread about this awhile ago. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Cleaned out the ICV numerous times, checked vacuum hoses. Cleaned my throttle bodies/butterflies. Bought a brand new MAF sensor. Still had idle drop. I had a K&n filter, i swapped it with a regular filter. Cleaned the MAF senor so no oil was on it. And bam problem solved.

I went and had the car scanned just in case and all was good there. After the 3 colder days here, Ive put about 150 miles on the car with no stalling or any issues. I will keep an eye on it but it has been good for now. I was thinking of putting a bottle of techron through it just in case since I read some people that had the same issue solved it with that. We'll see.

UPDATE:

After using the car a couple more times, I got the issue again.

It would only do it when warm and when coming to a stop(when the weight transfer of stopping rocked the car back, It would idle rough or stall). I checked the airbox and noticed the gasket between the MAG housing and the airbox was dry rotten and missing some parts. I could actually move it out of the airbox. I turned on the car and moved the housing off the airbox and it recreated perfectly what had been happening. I ordered the gasket and the issue is 100% gone. Here is the part
