Our team is finishing up a video installation which includes wiring and shroud installation. It is highly detailed and will answer any questions you have regarding this. For those who prefer written instructions, we will have those as well.

The installation is very clean and factory appearing, harnesses are properly secured, installed, and protected.

The 16" fan we use pulls 7.18 amps.

We have yet to gather any data regarding the CFM output of the factory mechanical fan. We did test both setups at idle and found that they both properly control temperatures. Check out our testing data at the link below.

We do not anticipate any issues regarding the charging system of your vehicle upon installation.

Sure thing! Check out the link to our testing data below.

We were able to free up some power and we also include data in regards to cooling at idle.

It appears the other kits come with application specific probes.
The base kit (E46-01) does not include the fan controller or sensor. This is for folks who would prefer to purchase their own controller setup. We wanted to offer a kit for any and all potential customers.

Thanks

Use the OEM Aux fan controller output wires to run the new fan.

I'm hoping I won't need to remove the radiator in order to install the fan. I alrerady took my mechanical fan and shroud out... hoping for just an easy diy.

The controller we use is fully adjustable from 150F-240F. The radiators should be shipping next week, while these units will be shipping at the end of July!

Radiator removal is not necessary for installation of the fan-shroud.

Absolutely! We utilize an adjustable fan controller which mounts near the firewall. This functions using a sensor (NPT or probe style) which measures coolant temperatures and sends this information to the controller. Once the appropriate activation temperature is reached (150F-240F) the fan activates and runs until the coolant temperature lowers by 10F.

Wiring is properly secured and protected by convoluted tubing. All splicing and soldering is kept to an absolute minimum, we are working on finalizing our full installation video now.

We will be offering the fan controller unit separately, however some of the wire lengths and inclusions will differ from the universal kit to this direct-fit unit.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.
