Knowing i'd pass smog but not visual, I thought i'd roll the dice and use their coupon and hope they wouldn't notice the blower. It worked!
Tell me where that shop is! The ones I've gone to make me wait 2 hours and then ask me 100 questions

HAH it's Purrfect Auto something in Lake Forest. Just play dumb and let them hook up the car. My car will pass the actual sniffer test but they didn't even do a visual inspection or didn't know any better.

VF kit will pass smog as long you keep your stock cats.. if you mod your cats then in that case you might fail the test.

BTW yeah it is a pain, I just had the letter from the DMV requiring you to perform the recall. Lucky I didn't have many problems getting the recall done as my HPF is running on an EMS.
