Will let you know if he does go that route ... would mean down time for me from getting my bumper back

He doesn't have anything at the moment for non CSL bumpers.
He only recently finally decided to start his own company, much of his clients being local, and him being a one man shop for the time being. Here is one of the bumpers he was working on ... a Ferrari, I don't know which as I am not too well versed on those cars.

About the best replica I have seen actually from just photos (the way the weaves are layed around the corner of those front splitters is as good as original manufacturer)

Who is he??
I have passed on the compliments to the chef and he says merci beaucoup.
I always thought of him being very talented with extreme attention to detail. I have called him an artist with CF. And this is why I have been pushing him, maybe for the last 5-6 years, to make items for our cars. Hopefully it's the start of something for us by him.

That CF weave is truly beautiful.

Would Love to see more of his work.

I would probably be interested in a rear CSL diffuser as well...count me in!

Op, stuff looks pretty good! Does this "friend" have a company name, or is it a true garage effort? Do you know what process he uses?

On a side note...man, I swear, I could just stare at cf stuff all day!
The 2x2 is stronger stan! The 1x1 is for looks. No regrets here

Personally prefer 1x1 for looks only but when done correctly 2x2 does look amazing. But that's only on like Ferrari's or Paganis.

And 1x1 is used for all BMW CF roofs. It's strong as hell lol

Yep, that's what I've always read and been told by cf guys...it's less likely to shear under tension. Not that a diffuser has to be the strongest part, as it's way less important to maintain structural rigidity than say-a roof. Kind of surprised that BMW went w/1x1 for the CSL roof for that reason...but I guess even the 1x1 was deemed plenty strong enough for that application. I believe that 2x2 is also more 'pliable' and therefor more suited for curved surfaces. So, it would prolly make sense for things like curvy interior trim parts and stuff, and maybe even the diffuser-for that reason alone.

Will do my friend.

I do know he is close to finishing, but he will have it test fitted first from one of his canadian clients.
The OE copy he used to make the 1:1 mold, is maybe 5+ years old or more.
So it is the older original version that fit like a glove, versus some of the newer ones that had fitment issues, that few members had. Thank you to Brian N for helping to point this out to me. After relaying the info, he said he definitely will have a test fit before even offering it.

On to the latest pic:

He said thanks and I did ask for more pics.

He should have the 1 piece lip mocked up onto my OE CSL bumper for some decent pics this week. Just told me the delay was the weather being crap and non stop rain in Montreal
