Well, I suppose I'll just have to get a cable and download the appropriate software

Care to point me in the right direction?

Search Amazon or eBay for 'Galletto 1260', make sure it has a FTDI chipset in it, the best ones are FT232RL based. Most will include crappy, but functional, software.

  1. Open terminal
  2. Create filename.pl and dump contents of script therein. (I use vi)
  3. Make file executable: chmod 755 <filename.pl>
  4. Execute file: ./filename.pl <inputfile>

I have to clean up the VANOS, but I'll post them if this helps at all. I've actually got a lot of maps located, but am still validating there operation.
Ok, I got what I could find put into the table. My eyeballs hurt, I'm going to bed.

P.S. 7837805 seems to be the easiest to find stuff in. Some of the others are a REAL pain.

P.P.S. I didn't work on the MSS54 files yet, just MSS54HP on those last two maps. Intake/Exhaust Vanos maps for tomorrow...

Just for the record - I'm working on a quick and dirty Windows app to verify/correct checksums. Won't be the prettiest code or interface, but it should be functional.

I've got most of the MSS54HP part done -- I'm busy tomorrow, but should be able to finish it by Friday night.

The maps that tap has found seem to match the throttle curve graphs that are floating around though. He's already posted the values / locations.

I will start populating the .xdf files and map descriptions for all the versions you have listed on the first page, which looks good BTW.. Great Work

Do you think we need another platform to start exchanging files? Never been a huge fan of data sharing via email.

I think I may be able to set something up via my Comcast account for us to collectively have access to. Also as terra mentioned earlier, I think we do need to back this thread up somehow but I'm not that savvy in that dept.

That would be GREAT! Could you maybe do the same for the converter?

Legend Terra, keep it up.
